Possibly, another arms race is in the making, but not ready for prime time yet. And one of the four significant areas of focus in the future, i.e., synthetic biology, AI, quantum computing, and climate technologies to decarbonize the world. Let’s see how it helps us expedite our journey to AGI if the AGI becomes only a scaling/performance problem, and we also need to worry about the unintended consequences beyond what we already know; new encryption algorithms will be required.
